Ramadan – The blessed month.
Ramadan appeal will be working on Special Ramadan Programs that you can support. Whether you would like to pay Zakat, Sadaqah, Fidya or Kafarah – your Ramadan payments will help us to distribute food packs to impoverished families, provide Sahar and Iftar for orphaned children.
Ramadan Food Packs: Ramadan appeal have been distributing food packs (60 Kilos) to impoverished families. These food packs can feed an entire family for a whole month. We make every effort to make sure that the food supplies are locally sourced.
One of the most preferred acts of charity that a muslim can perform during the blessed month of Ramadan is to feed other muslims who are fasting. By supplying food to those who are fasting you will not only reap the benefits of your own fast, but also receive the equivalent amount of rewards of those who break their fast on one of your meals.
Iftar: Cooked meal will be distributed to those who need to break their fast.
Eid Clothing/Gifts: One of the preferred sunnah acts on the day of Eid is to wear new clothes and to present nicely to others, as a demonstration of your happiness on such days. This is especially the case for children,
who might enjoy and appreciate their new clothes on a different level. Unfortunately thousands of children on this day do not enjoy this sort of celebration and happiness, because their parents or gaurdians (if any) cannot afford to provide for such occasions. To participate in this great deed, you can pay any amount you wish towards purchasing clothes for these needy kids and enable them to enjoy their Eid as intended.
Zakat al Fitr: Fitrana also known as Zakat ul Fitr. The meaning of Fitrana can be explained through the translation of “Zakat ul Fitr”; this translates to charity given to break a fast. This obligatory donation is given before Eid prayers commence at the start of Eid and is given to ensure those in need are able to partake in Eid ul Fitr celebrations.
